I'd back this. I've heard a few stories of good young lads playing in the youth sides whose parents are not affluent and financially struggle to meet requirements. It would be nice to think we could support families and give youth players from all walks a helping hand.
This would fit in with R&R's ethos of benefiting and including the community, as would the DSA usage

They can't fund everything. Honestly, a few of you need to get realistic, you're running away with the fairies.

This "community club" thing has always worried me and maybe thats one of the reasons we always appear to be side tracked to other issues than the club and team. We all need to remember WAFC is 1st , 2nd and 3rd a football club all other issues are fine but must not deviate us away from why we exist .

Raises an interesting question, what exactly is 'we'. Football clubs were originally people banding together to play and watch football and they were all members clubs. At the higher levels many became Limited Companies and moved away from the original ethos and purpose. Community and place originally mattered but got lost as more money came into the game.

So are we now just customers of a business ? Bit like going to a theatre or a pub ?

Why form the strong emotional attachment supporters have to a Limited Company or LLP ?

Club is now surely a misnomer for most modern day football clubs ?

Yes we are just customers... Get over it.

I can't wait. Sick of all the politics and infighting.

Will the profits be going to the club or WST?

Slightly going off tangent here...... I pay my WST membership by direct debit. When do you stop your membership?
Going by some on here who have had issues with payments, membership, e-mails etc is it prudent to wait until the takeover is signed and sealed?

Thankfully, looking at things like the £6000 donation Rob made to a Wrexham fan in need, it looks like we’re getting back towards thinking community matters.

I've dropped my standing order down to a minimum now. I want to remain a member for time being just so I don't miss any updates etc. Going forward when the WST produces a set of revised objectives or purpose I will then decide if I am behind them or not.

Suspect that membership could fall to 500 or so if it continues unless there are major changes.

My suggestion is to remain a member for now just so you retain access to information and a voting option just in case of some kind of collosal f up in the FA ratification process
