Safe standing Kop
With talk of the gateway scheme for the town involving a new Kop end stand being built , do we know if it’s expected to be all seater or is there the possibility of a safe standing area ? I realise a big part of the plans would be the expectation of more Welsh internationals, albeit more likely to be friendlies , so that may have a deciding factor. I do miss standing on that terrace :(

Re: Safe standing Kop
Still dont see understand the fascination with all seater stadiums. I'd far rather stand personally. I cant believe a new kop terrace and roof would be that expensive. Maybe this is what WST should now oncentrate on and fundraise for? I understand that ze germans allow standing zones in ze Bundesliga nowadays.

Re: Safe standing Kop
I think the slops have safe standing area in their new ground which was of course built as an all seater ground originally

Re: Safe standing Kop
Would like to see a safe standing bottom tier and seated top tier.

Re: Safe standing Kop
We'd be the first in Wales with safe standing. The likes of Ken Skates and Spencer Harris would be all over that.
I think it'll happen. |
Re: Safe standing Kop
Don't care - it can stay empty as long as i can watch league football again at the racecourse

Re: Safe standing Kop
The SGSA have completed a study and believe it can improve crowd safety but currently only seated areas count for international capacity.

Re: Safe standing Kop
Does safe standing actually increase ground capacity? if it doesn't, what's the point?

It would for lower divisions and is being considered for top 2 divisions but banned at the minute. |
