Yes, the long and the short of it is, if Keates is still here on New Year's Day (Just over 5 weeks away) then they've decided to let him spend the £2m. Ffs that's a scary thought.

I just can't predict how it will go (will the new CEO sack him to make way for his own man ?)
As the take over may not be finalised for another 2 weeks its effectively a 3 week window for change of manager

Exactly, that's a really right window.

I think if Keates isn't sacked immediately it will indicate he's here for the crucial January window.

A huge call for the new CEO but my gut feel is he's already in place and will have made a call on Keates one way or the other. He's not got the luxury of 3 months to see if Keates is up to the job.

For me he's already proved he isn't, the last 2 results papers over enormous cracks

That to me says Keates might be given time. Depends massively who comes in as CEO and what they decide.

Read that earlier on.

I'm not sure it says anything either way? It's pretty banal.

The only way Keates can repay Wrexham fans is getting us promoted.

It's impossible to tell at the minute. Especially with the documentary being thrown in. The video call could be just to save face for the documentary. That they've spoken to him and decided Keates wasn't a good fit for their vision.

They most certainly have eyes everywhere and will no doubt have a gauge on fan opinion. I have no doubts that some representatives of theirs are reading this forum.

Whether fan opinion persuades them to sack Keates or not is another matter. The documentary is for a global audience. It's not aimed to appease Wrexham fans

It's just a case of wait and see

I can see (hope) the £2M being used as part of a longer term football strategy rather than simply a one-time player budget for a manager, Keates or otherwise, to spend/gamble on the National League in Jan or next season.
