It's been our problem since Moult left 5 years ago. We just didn't have the cash for the quality upfront, now we have

They are not going to give Keates £2 mill to play with, soon as the takeover is completed Keates and the rest of his useless team will be gone it's a cert.

I really hope you're right. Sentiment could see us miss out on promotion with the salary cap handicapping us next season

This season could be our best chance. Let's not waste it by keeping Keates

Didn’t watch the game as fishing is more fun but 3 more points to safety #Keatesout

Deserved the win for working hard ..Aldershot like Hartlepool average but also worked hard..
Young MOTM (great strike too). Durrell did well again...Harris also dug in...Midfield won the game as they probably did in midweek.

Not sure about criticism of Ponticelli..he ran the channels far more than Thomas..Not sure what the tactics are as it seems to be hoof it up to Thomas by pass midfield and see what happens..I'm not one to single out people but someone like Rutherford does twice the work of someone like Thomas.. Be just the same with a mannequin up front..He rarely holds the ball or closes down
When midfield get involved and Rekord or Horsefield get forward we play a bit..How the goal came about today.
Ponticelli would maybe benefit from Jarvis...playing through balls. Can't see why Davies is not played out wide.

The team held shape well enough, worked hard but it was far from spectacular.

I'll take the 1-0 wins all season though Keates or not..It was probably a good win as Aldershot played us off the pitch a couple of seasons ago

I wouldn't give up on Ponticelli, he looked like his fitness was returning today. A confident striker would have smashed his early chance in but he didnt let his head drop and a goal or 2 may get him going and rediscover the form he showed glimses of last season. Thomas has done a good job for the team leading the line, this week, but longer term it would be good to see a really quick striker alongside Ponticelli.

The current players are not good enough to be anywhere near promotion.

We shall see what January brings. Hopefully half a dozen stars.

£2m buys quality at this level. Just need the right manager to spend it

I think the same...You defend from the front ..Some teams have players who are busy upfront..It takes the weight and pressure off.
We are constantly pumping into Thomas and hope for the best...It' svery predictable..It works to an extent but offers nothing in creativity. Rekord was going forward a lot more in early games
Thought we held shape reasonably well though...won game based on working hard and great finish. Happy enough with another win though
