Another focus on events this week, including a film review!

What a petty, sad comment.

Pete Jones' comments just confirm to me what the club has faced during the last eight years. Dear me.

One of the reasons I would never buy or read the Guardian rag.Why is it so many people are quick to run Wrexham down ? I have worked all over the UK and travelled extensively to many countries and yes many towns and cities leave Wrexham standing but ....its home o me and there is much more to Wrexham than a town centre that needs a rebranding.
We live I one of the most beautiful parts of the UK with decent hard working people .Believe me Wrexham is a great place to live and work.
As for Pete Jones ,well he is a yesterday man who was way out of his depth as WST chairman but did do a great job as the clubs historian and that's all he should have ever been allowed to do.
By the way , the weather I Wrexham is great and where all these idiots saying it's dark and always raining clearly know nothing g about the place.

"But next to her, Richard Pickering, was not impressed by Reynolds.

“Not being funny,” he said, “but the only reason he’s took it over is because he’s got the money.”

Wow.

Why do they always seem to interview the strange ones? (Rob Clarke is sound)

I've been extremely critical of him in the past, probably unfairly so but I think he has shone through this stuff. I suspect that there was a fair bit of infighting across the board members and supporting roles around this stuff for a while given the exit (and the manner of those exits) over recent months. I wish Spencer hadn't been associated with the various lies, mistruths and errors that have come to the surface but he was and can't get away from it now. But he has in my view redeemed himselfa bit and I see no reason to hold a grudge...

Pete in the other hand...a fine example of a man from whom maintaining the status quo was the priority. Wrexham for the few not the many. Under that level of leadership we would never have progressed and I am thrilled that he is no longer involved.

I did have a huge amount of respect for Pete but he makes an enemy of anyone that doesn't see the WST as the champions of democracy and the most unlucky organisation to ever set foot on earth

To be fair that article is looking to paint Wrexham as a dreary town void of any hope and they'll have just used one snippet of what Pete has said. But pair that with the other strange comments he's made this year and it just paints the picture of someone very bitter that he's lost control of the club.

With its numerous charity shops and slate-grey skies, the north Wales town is the antithesis of Californian glamour
To be fair, can you really argue with that? November has hardly been full of sunshine..all the other comments about Wrexham come from locals themselves. Nobody says it's dark and always raining? I'm certain if the reporter lived here, he'd get the same opinion as the rest of us. You can't expect reporters from far and wide to come here for one day and expect to say we're a hustling, thriving town.

As for Pete Jones...oh dear
