The right signings are always available if you have the right amount of money, depends how much new owners want to invest.

New management is key. Adi Yussef and Davies on the bench is enough to say Keates isn't getting enough out of this team

Exactly. What’s the point in new players if the coaches are unaware of any other tactics than hoofball.
We need new ideas and quick.

Poncelli and Horsfield both lacked match fitness. Horsfield is looking sharper now and I think Poncelli is getting there. Jarvis has a fitness problem as well I believe.
Any player signed may take time to get up to speed and then has to take the first team opportunity when it arises.

Given that many clubs may have ballsed up their projections based on fans being back in grounds by now I suspect budgets will be reforecast and constricted. Might be some opportunities there for us as a result. Think we need to have tempered expectations this season. I'd be dissapointed not to go up next season though.

Few small mistakes aside I thought Horsfield looked decent yesterday. Got a few crucial blocks and tackles in. His only real let down was the stupid yellow he got. Was a bit worried that he had come back a shadow of himself based on last season but looks like he might be coming good.

Do wonder whether or not the team is starting to connect a bit more. Can't understate the impacts of covid on relationship/partnership building in what was largely a newly assembled team. I think the squad are better than the performances they've given so far.

I would have had yussuf over Ponticelli yesterday but Davies has shown nothing to suggest he should be starting
