Aye the football at a football club has been terrible for nearly eight years, but well done, take a bow.

Take a bow for spaffing the Ward money. Take a bow for nearly relegating us. Take a bow for giving a 3 year contract to a footgolf coach. Well done for not informing the members off 11 approaches for the club AND lying about them.
Nah you're alright ta.

Bully boy board members approaching peoples employers etc. Now the club do an anti bullying campaign. No irony at all.

Chill mate... it's really not worth it.

Let’s face facts, the board had 29 supporters..... 29!.

Add in the none members who didn’t wish to be members so clearly didn’t support them in the end, the WST was probably the second most unpopular owners in out history only less popular then Hamilton. They can not be thanked or defended for dishonesty and failure, no matter how many times the 29 take to social media and forums to do so.

Mind blowing stuff isn't it?
Some people mention the football like its some sort of secondary bonus if it goes well.

Its been a dreadful experience (WST ownership)and their behaviour has been disgraceful at times, another thing that's swept under the carpet in the rewriting of history. Good riddance.

Sashay in here, bathed in wonderment, and not a single thread of recognition. I wonder why.

The actual process of this takeover has gone extremely smoothly. Considering who was involved. The credit for this has to go to the intermediaries and Spencer Harris (and the board). When the intermediaries stepped aside, the process progressed to direct contact between R+R and Spencer (and the board ). As is evident this was successful. More than that, this was a blinding result - could be the best result in our history. So why no recognition for the person who was heavily involved in achieving this?

Go back a while to when Spencer (and the board ) rejected (rightly ) another tin pot offer to buy the club. Again, from chancers with mixed motives and no money, riding on the back of fans discontent. And yes, the wailing on here was unbelievable and then you realise the meaning of the name of the country.

Turns out, in the grand scheme of things, that the WST were fine (and brave) custodians of the club.

Ok, we've had to endure friggin awful, mind numbing, soul destroying football - the direct result of utterly incomprehensible managerial appointments (budget apparently - they were (are) dirt cheap).
Got that badly wrong. Instead of paying hefty wages to disinterested journeyman players we should have chucked it all at getting a decent manager.

And yet, when Hollywood cast an eye, the WST was able to offer a club unencumbered by debt, operating at break-even (more or less ) and with a lengthy lease on the oldest international football ground in the world.

These must have been factors in R+R's decision to buy the club.
They are walking in with a clean slate.
They don't have to deal with financial mess left by previous incumbents.
They don't have to waste money clearing debt.

For this, and the handling of the process, the WST deserves credit.
This is the start of the SH propaganda machine. Telling us how wonderful he is.
I wonder why you don’t just reference them as the board if you want to praise!!
Why SH & the board.
My suspicion is SH propaganda machine is trying to elevate him to take a roll in the club’s future?
None of them have anything to be proud of, as money has been thrown away on the most ridiculous waste of management & players. Whilst happily playing wannabe directors and taking our club down.
Yes, the takeover has been accomplished well, but let’s not elevate the current board as hero’s.

I've heard now there were 11 interested parties in purchasing the club under Trust ownership.

It would be interesting to know about these i.e. why didn't any of them progress to member consultation.

One thing that stood out when Spencer was on the Athletic Podcast with Mark Chapman was he is part of the Kellogg's brexit strategy. Juggling a professional football club and a multinational company cannot be easy. In fact, it's close to impossible.

I wonder if, in hindsight, he might have quit Kelogg's if the CEO role at Wrexham was paid and he could have given it all of his time.

Doubt it - must be on much more than we would have paid a CEO.
