This...
I assume from his forum name that the OP is a Hendrix fan. Well the sound engineers and studio bosses might have done a good job, but without Jimi playing the music wouldn't have been any good.

We came so close to not having a club at all, the club was saved by the supporters who have been running it as volunteers ever since doing the best job they can (for free). Said club has now been bought by 2 Hollywood stars with the resources to employ the 'right' people to take care of the football side of things and the sleeping giant stirs.

No moaning here.

The times they are a changing.

Being a volunteer is not a valid excuse for making a total cock up of running the football club on a continuous basis for ten years.

This is a football club, the aim is to be successful and progress - the WST has made zero progress on the football front (again, a reminder that's what we're all here for) and has actually taken us backwards. We faced the very real threat of relegation last season, on the back of allowing a rookie manager to blow a huge player budget on crap, leaving the club with no real money to fall back on and a piss poor squad thats just as bad if not worse this season.

The fact that the club didn't go out of business under WST ownership is hardly reason for a load of cringeworthy back slapping and celebration. So what, slow clap for achieving level one of being a club owner.

The focus should be on where we are from a football point of view but that wouldn't suit the agenda and desperation to dress up and falsify the story of WST ownership.

Let it go, it failed miserably and its over.

Im no fan of the trust , done so much wrong , But as regards the other offers to buy the club by whoever , they probably didnt mention them perhaps they thought they were not worthy of discussion , dodgy / not viable , bringing those to our attention would have been a waste of everyones time ,As soon as this offer was on the table they told us , So on that basis i give them the benefit of the doubt ,
So i thank them for their free time and work , time to move on .

The footballing argument is a fair one. Towards the end of Geoff Moss's stewardship at the club, I felt compelled to email him detailing numerous issues; one of which was the football and the decisions he made regarding managers (i.e Denis, Carey, Little etc).

It's only fair if Moss got a kicking because the football was crap under him then so should the Trust. However, even the most staunch, dyed in the water, one of the 29, Trust members would have to agree that the football has been awful for too long.

They kept the business going well though...

Or you could view it that it is for the members to decide what offers they want to proceed with and 10 were hidden from us but the eleventh came along in a pandemic so it suited the board to proceed?

I think everyone knows that they're only allowing this takeover because they knew that the future of the club was at serious risk while they were in charge. They wanted out before the situation got out of hand and the timing of the offer was perfect.
The fact that there were 10 other offers backs this up and speaks volumes about how little they could be trusted.
