Last night was a comprehensive demolition of a team bang in form and should be seen as such. Hopefully not a one-off and has to be taken into the context of some poor performances in the other 8 games. As you say who cares ? We are looking a lot better than we were after 6 games ! |

Starting to get a bit ahead of ourselves. 4 goals and 3 points masks the deficiency in the football.
We won because Sutton couldn't deal with the aerial threat and were weak at the back. Happy with the result and the effort but Keatesball ruled. |

This is how I see it. Our play in the final third is terrible, no movement or idea.

Re: Mmmmm funny hey?
The team gelling a bit more is probably as significant, we had a lot of new players and a shortened preseason. Also maybe players are putting a little but kore effort in knowing that come January we may see an influx of new players, so they are staking their spot.
Or it could just be a bit of the rub of the green. We could have easily lost the Hartlepool match and we didn't exactly blow Aldershot away. Fine lines between a result like Hartlepool and the one against Maidenhead. |

This all day long. Great, if surprising, result and long may such results continue. We were looking a bit better and for once took our chances, but I think 4-0 flattered us somewhat - Sutton wasted a couple of decent opportunities and if they hadn't, would we have kept nerves at bay? For those contemplating keeping Keates all on the back of a couple of games, would they want Pearson back after the defence have kept four clean sheets? |
