Hope the documentary has Ryan and Rob turning up at that house to inspect the garden unannounced!

The Athletic are currently trying to track down the centre spot to interview it on its traumatic ordeal.

I might be wrong, but wasn't there talk of some sort of contamination issue, with the soil that was under the kop?
I'm sure it was said, that it would have to be removed by specialists.

How would the two "Town End" floodlights be supported, if the Kop was to be flattened, especially the one at the corner of the Kop/Yale stand?

I know its been mentioned before but a great cheap - possibly free - memory item from the kop would be a small lump of concrete, then mount it on a nice piece of wood. I still have a section of concrete from the old Highfield Road.

Years ago whilst renovating a house - I bought a piece of scrap girder from the Racecourse at the time they were pulling down the old shelter. It worked a treat.

Remember going to a funeral with my sister and brother in law in Abergele about 20 years ago. On our way home passed the Racecourse at about 4.15pm Saturday dressed in funeral attire. They were playing Bournemouth . We said what the hell let's try and get in . Despite saying we would pay none of the Stand turnstiles would let us in. We walked along to the Kop. A great steward listened to our tale and said I'll make your day, come in for free, we're 2-0 up. He opened the huge gates a crack ,in we went to the middle about half way up. Jermaine Defoe then scored twice and I think we settled for a 2 all draw. Always hoped the bereaved family never found out. !!

Might of been me that said it and it was a guess! But typically all kinds of cheap soils went into embankments years ago. Its likely to be contaminated with the industrial heritage of the town. If it hasnt been already tested it will need to be before its removed. Could be nothing or coukd be £££
