Christian Dibble
I will hold my hands up and say I was one of the many who said he should have left at the end of last season after his bad performances. When he came on to replace Lainton I thought we were nailed on for a loss. But He is pretty much the only reason (apart from Yussuf’s goal) that we’ve come away with a good point. The saves he made were much more than I expected from him and that needs to be acknowledged. And I hope that he continues in that vain over the next few games that he will be starting before Laintons (hopeful) return. I don’t post much on this forum but I thought he performance in the face of adversity deserved recognition. Well done Dibble. Out. |

Re: Christian Dibble
Hear hear. I always thought he was more than adequate back up. I lost faith in him last season as his confidence ebbed away and more mistakes followed and I didnt want him to be re-signed, however he showed balls and ability today so well done.

Re: Christian Dibble
The first season he played for us I thought he was alright and was unlucky to lose his spot to Chris Dunn. Lainton is the better keeper and his performances last season were dreadful.
However, if he shows up in the time we need him, and cuts the mistakes out of his game I'm willing to chalk last season up to a lack of confidence. Today's performance should do his confidence a world of good - he and Yussuf got us a good point today. |

Re: Christian Dibble
One thing is for sure, a lot of goalies get better with age, each passing year.
Coaching team know there’s a good keeper in there. His dad was a legend (was? Still is!). Only as good as your last game, so, kick on from here lad. |

Re: Christian Dibble
Fair play top performance today in dreadful circumstances!! Hopefully he can continue the form over the next couple of games if Lainton is out and the best case scenario is that Keates has a selection headache in a couple of weeks.
