Do we think that with his return seemingly imminent we may see a move to playing 3 at the back? I think both Reckord and RHJ are probably more suited to being wing backs? We could have a midfield 3 with Harris sitting, YoungBox to Box and then one of Davies,Durrell, Jarvis or even Redmond as an attacking midfielder with Thomas and Yussuf up top?

It’s almost certain that the skipper will come into the team I would have thought and it would be harsh to drop either Vassell or Kelleher in my opinion?

This would mean playing without Rutherford which seems to be a non starter for Keates, interested to see what other people think?

Ruthers has to start or else we might start creating and scoring goals and we can't be having that can we.

I'd have Davies as the LWB before Reckord.

Though I think Keates would rather play him in goal.

I tend to agree with this Davies at LWB with Harris, Young and Jarvis/Durrell in the middle.

100% agree- its the only system we have that I can see working for most of the team.

Hall Johnson and Reckord) are both attacking minded. Pearson central in a 3 means he isn't exposed to pace.

Durrell has stated his best position is just off the striker, Young and Harris (I'd personally have Davies in the CM) and then 2 up top.

Bench wise- Jarvis, Redmond and Rutherford can all fit into that system, Carra and Horsfield are nice replacements when winning a match and went to see it out in for the attacking full backs.

Davies would be an option at left wing back, with Young, Jarvis and Durrell in the middle, and Redmond coming off the bench. I'd like to see Redmond given a chance here, as he is a very good player that just needs a run of games to get his confidence up. Same as Jarvis. Keates should be looking at long term potential and how the club could make money off the younger players, and playing the likes of Harris, Rutherford and Durrell every game is not helping the club. We need to start playing the younger lads who have dropped down to play games.

RHJ and Davies wing backs
Harris and 2 A.N Others in midfield as their all much of a muchness
Ponti and Thomas up front
And a hell of a lot of new signings in January

Nor me. His best days are long gone and his legs which were never the best are fading fast. End of the season it'll be time to move on. He isn't the cream of the crop any more.
