Re: Takeover3
Inthinknit was said in gest. At the end of the day we are going to have a big name manager come in either way. It's going to happen for sure. The new CEO will want someone he knows or has previously worked with. If Big Sam was available then I cant see why someone like him wouldn't be up for a challenge like this.

It was said that when the ownership went through they would immediately put in 2 million quid as part of the deal. That would give the club some liquidity to do things immediately that need addressing. A bit of spending flash cash. Nowhere has it been said what the new owners would do or spend to recruit talent. The CEO could be funded by R&R personally, and draw next to no salary from the club. As they are owners they could structure that any way they need, especially if, like PM they were an advisory role. The doco would likely bring in - from what I’ve read - another £2 mil per year. The CEO would and should be looking at expanding new sponsorships, marketing, merch, etc which would bring in more - say for argument’s sake £1 mil. So without too much drama at all, you’re looking at a very real possibility of £5m in the cash register very soon, with more on tap after that too, season on season. Anyone that seriously thinks we’ll be getting £2m and once it’s blown, we’re done needs to think longer term. It isn’t gonna be just £2m. |

There are still people who think there's a £2m investment, once that's spent you're on your own. We will be lucky to get out of this division on £2m alone.Didnt Dale Vince put in £7m before FGR got promoted ? R&R are very astute businessmen and are being advised by a guy who has been CEO of some of the world's biggest brands and between them they will know that to get to at least the Championship which PM has hinted is the minimum target, there will need to be more than a £2m investment. The £2m was a headline amount to get the wheels in motion Some people are very sheltered if they think a one off investment will get us very far. Their reputations are on the line here. They wont want to be associated with a failed project that THEY have marketed all over the world. I'm 110% sure further funds will be available as and when required to stoke the project rather than them say right now there's £30m or £40m available. That would be just stupid Stupid these 3 guys are not |

However even if they put in £2m per year plus another £2m a year from the documentary, plus, say £1m from extra sponsorship revenue. That would be £5m per year, and wouldn't justify spending £4m on a manager. or £2m, or even £500k. |

We aren't on a self financing budget any more. They will pay whatever the going rate is for the man they think will be a success. The First team manager is critical to the success of the project so the wages wont be scrimped on The fact they already have PM in as an advisor says everything to me about their ambition. Any coach, manager or player worth their salt will be wanting to get on this journey. I don't think R&R need to sell this to prospective employees as their name and that of PM sells it |
