Default Sunderland Netflix documentary.

I am a couple of years behind watching this as I had previously no interest in watching something about Sunderland. However, knowing we will be doing something similar I thought I would give it a go. Must admit it got me hooked. So interesting to see behind the scenes, the CEO role, the fans emotions winning and losing. Their club falling apart around them. The expectation of being better than they are. I felt similar emotion to what we have become.
Don’t get me wrong, the facilities there are unbelievable. However, the fans hope/expectations are the same. Really good viewing. Interesting how Chris Coleman came across, a Very likeable character.
I’m sure I will get comments as why isn’t this in General football section. I felt it relevant enough.
For those who haven’t yet watched it, I do recommend and hope you see similarities to our plight.
I haven’t watched series 2 yet, will do over the next few days !

Watched the lot - hooked very quickly

Some amazingly poor mngt actions
Chris Coleman - um, as they said, nice man, but clueless in player mngt , got slated by some of the players.

Keep watching you’ll enjoy series 2

Only hope that we do somewhat better than Sunderland did whilst being filmed

Class of 92 currently on sky is decent and probably the most comparable of the series what are out. Especially the last 2 series of them getting promoted to league 2 and their first season in the football league

Yes, just binge watched both series, and agree with a lot of your points, especially the ‘fans expectations’.
It left me slightly concerned that, should our new owners be allowed to take over, it will not be as smooth a ride as everyone seems to think going forward.

The Leeds one on prime is brilliant too. I'm not a Leeds fan but loved it.

Just watched 'The four year plan' on Prime. Great documentary but still can't believe Flavio Briatore was happy for it to be released. Comes across as a complete meglomaniacal prick, whereas Warnock, who I used to despise, comes across really well.

Id agree with what you say there. Some people seem to think we will be in the Premiership in 5 years Peoples expectations need to be managed. if we are L1 in 5 years I would be very happy.

Got to dream big if we haven't been crowned world club champions within the next 7 years the takeover will be deemed a failure 😂😂
