WHY though?! There shouldn’t be any desire to play this way: our club have never played like this, even as we tumbled down the leagues (bar a bit with Little). There shouldn’t be any NEED to play this way either: we should still have one of the larger budgets in the league, still a decent draw, and we shouldn’t be worrying about staying up.

As a fan of FOOTBALL, I hate it.
The thing Keates and Darliola don’t ‘get’ about this approach, is, it’s do-able in higher leagues, where players are good enough to close a game out, keep things tight, operate on the counter

But players in the NLP aren’t up to it, there’s too many mistakes made, so, setting yourself up to keep a clean sheet often ends in failure. We end up slipping a goal or two, and then we are out of it (Weymouth away being the exception, bit of attitude there from the players)

We aren’t good enough to play that way, and as you say as a brand of football it stinks

Things are really simple in this league....

Attack, score more goals than the opposition

Look at today’s game where Torquay won 4-3 away

That’s fairly typical of this league

Outgun the opposition

Keates kept saying I 'it was not good enough'. Then do the decent thing and resign.
However, I do think this is part of the documentary plan for R & R because they take over as the club is at its lowest point and then the fairy tale begins! However, are they prepared to start with Wrexham in the conference north - because that is where the clueless idiot is taking us!

If you do not set up to win a game then what is the point of even turning up.
From the start we were on the back foot defending the one point a 0-0 ending would award us. Only at 2-0 down did we take the game to them and try and rescue that point back. In fairness, when allowed to go forward in the second half, our midfield did create chances. That begs the question WHY? .. why do Keates/ Darlington lack any confidence that their team cannot approach a game at this level with a positive attitude?
We are increasingly getting too far into this season, irrespective of pending R&R, to challenge. Let's hope we get enough points to start all over at this level next season, without the current coacing staff.

Spot on, most negative pile of shit i have seen in over 40 years supporting Wxm.Keates never learns or changes either which makes him still being here pointless

Why is everyone losing their marbles about losing to Stockport when they predicted it pre match?

How I saw it and again only when Thomas was taken off did we play into feet and start stretching the flanks

It’s not the loss that’s the problem, it’s the manner of the loss!!

Our coaching team did little to react to a marauding Stockport right back. Our LWB played well but got little protection with Thomas, Ponticelli or our coaching staff oblivious to the threat. Why can’t we adjust during the first 45 minutes? Thomas has less than 15 career goals but we took a punt - what did our scouts see that Steve McLaren (Derby County and ex England Coach), Tony Mowbray (WBA, Berry, Cov, Celtic manager) failed to coach In to him?

Some players work, others don’t. Very poor performance from our coaching and managerial team today. I feel for the players who lack leadership and direction.

Too many sideways passes. A lack of cut and thrust. We played ok for 10-15 minutes in the second half but were 2 goals down. We used to go to Stockport expecting a win. We went today anticipating a beating. Very poor.
