Keates was a leader on the pitch.

The 2 big differences between then and now - as a player keates knew his craft and was respected by the team, and also its a lot different leading for 90 minutes twice a week ensuring someone else's tactics get implemented than it is to be responsible for the end to end plan on and off the pitch

Honestly i have no clue who to blame anymore ?
Is it Keates and/or Darlington ? Davies appears to be relatively blameless due to anonymity ?
Is it the upper management structure for appointing the wrong people ?
All I do know is watching my team is so painful even i have stopped.
The new regime must sweep clean completely in my opinion and if some innocents get caught then so be it.
On greatest goals thread we discussed a goal at oxford in 1976/77. I walked 20 miles that day to watch my team not because i knew they would win but because i knew they wanted to win. Now i cant even be bothered to grab the remote on my armchair....

Why should it? Covid related could have been the partners of players having symptoms and waiting for test results. The players wouldn't have been able to train, but it's no reason to postpone the game as there was no outbreak in the team.

All good points. Add to that the team played exciting football and there is not much more to be said.

The truth is that no one person should be blamed for the situation we are in. We just need to accept that however hard the current regime try they will find it almost impossible to succeed.
To succeed you need knowledge and , experience in the role you are in, this especially so in the world of football. Unfortunately other than the football management team we are run by unpaid volunteers who give up their time FOC. A number of professional staff , playyers and management team are simply out of their depth in the positions that they are employed in.

But when questioned on this the amateurs said they didn't need help, and paid professionals wasn't viable. Our league positions over the last 6-7 years suggests they were wrong

The abandoned school field the WST gave them to train on might be a decent starting point.
