Deliberately losing and risking a relegation all for a documentary. Give your head a wobble. They can turn to Peter Moore for advice. Inner Circle Sports are also there.
Can we get back to the "takeover update" threads, instead of threads like this.
For me its a what if. If Keates and Darlington go who comes in. Now logically given what happening and the prospect of a big budget i would imagine we would have a lot of interest for the role. The current board though cannot be trusted to make a new appointment given everything thats happened since Ricketts went.

Unless they have someone lined up ready to go with players ready to come in were stuck with Keates. Also i can't see the takeover going through and the first thing them doing is sacking Keates (even though they should). Reality is i think we've got Keates till the end of the season.

Keates’ contract runs out at the end of the season so they may simply decide not to extend it rather than terminating it early.

But they've not taken on a new coaching set-up that will cost more. Rooney was already on the wage bill as a player.

Suspect the next Wrexham manager will be on a significantly better contract than Keates, or at least heavily incentivised on promotion.

It won't be swapping like for like which has happened at other clubs.

Financially a sound move providing we dont have to advertise "Manager required for National League North club". That said the drama of filming Keates being terminated, Hollywood style, would add to the value of the documentary.
Maybe they could bring Arnie over to do the job and create new immortal lines "You won't be back" and Keates rsponding with his one, well rehearsed "alreet".. Hollywood comes to Wrexham!

No. Why would the board sack the man they have hired TWICE? Sacking him would be akin to them admitting they got it wrong and we all know they never admit to their mistakes do they!
