Wrexham lad who played at the highest level for club and country, managed at the top end of the Premier League and managed his country. He's about as charismatic as Steven Gerrard but that won't stop Liverpool giving him the job there when Klopp jacks it in I don't really get the hate for Hughes in some quarters. |

Re: Tony Pulis Resigns
After watching such an organised performance by Aston Villa's kids against Liverpool I couldn't help but be impressed by Mark Delaney. Surely that will have put him on the radar of many clubs as future manager/coach.
Could we tempt him? Bit of a Sam the Snake scenario with him being on the coaching staff at a very professional club. Two key differences are 1. Loyalty - He has been in that role at Villa since 2007 and may have future aspirations there 2. He would be looking to join an ambitious club, under new ownership and with massive scope to develop. Probably a "no chance" but certainly the calibre of candidate we should be interested in talking to.

Re: Tony Pulis Resigns
I know a few supporters will be dead against this but I'd get Saunders back in a heartbeat.
I could put up with(or just turn off) the post match interviews as long as ne was able to reproduce a team similar to the one he left. He was a great advocate of young, quick players, an enthusiastic coach and had more than one game plan. He insisted on a reserve side and used those games to develop his players awareness and tactical ability. Don't give a toss about the arrogance or bullshit as long as the results and football are significantly improved. |
