MG is irrelevant. Whether he conducts a crap interview or a great interview is not going to change anything in either direction. He's doing his job and is clearly a fan of the the club.

I doubt he will be needed by R&R but it will be interesting to see.

BTW, I don't know the chap but blaming him for any shortcomings at the (WST) club is really unfair in my view.

It’s the old story of a media person, not really coming out with the truth (how bad we were). If he did call it, for what it is, he would be out of the commentary role. Mark Griffiths is probably waiting for the good times, where he can again, wax lyrical about the quality of our football.
It’s probably the same with that RichardWilliams from the “Bleader”, he will have his access to players blocked, if he prints that Wrexham were dreadful. A shame really, that fans have to get “balance” from adding RP to their diet!

Vast FL experience, including promotions, as well as his coaching qualifications. He obviously has an ability to set up a team defensively, so would be useful on the coaching/backroom staff.

The issue we have is that he's no idea how to string things together in the final third, so he shouldn't be in charge of the overall tactics.

TCF: Please remember that a football coach needs to be a good communicator! His obvious shortcomings in this department do represent a severe handicap!

If there's one area of a team where you would hope for his vast FL experience to come in handy, it's the midfield..Get that right and the rest usually follows,

That was the one glimmer visible in the gamble to give him the job. A glimmer that was soon extinguished.

Unfortunately he has taken too much notice of the latter, and not of the former.

He played in some decent sides that won promotion with simple attacking football. Yet, his footballing philosophy seems to have ignored all that and has been replaced by the theories of Digital Darlington. He's a victim of sports science ( which has a place don't get me wrong) and I truly believe in years to come he's going to be so regretful of going down the wrong road and backing the wrong horse. Silly, silly boy.
