Get prepared for a big push next year with settled players and (new) coaching staff.
Disagree - we need replacements for the underachievers and a new manager

Yes I agree, start the squad rebuild in January with new staff but not expect a miracle run to the playoffs. Do what Cambridge did a few seasons back.

Not give up, but be realistic in our expectations for this season. All these new signings we want along with a new manager are not usually a recipe for flying up the league table immediately.

It is a lot to expect but if the takeover is completed by the middle of the month and we sign a few good players, I’ll expect us to finish in the top 7.

Agree 2 centre midfielders and 2 forwards could transform the side.A competent manager should be able to utilise Jarvis or Redmond as the No.10.Hopefully Yussuf would not be recalled from loan as a good bench option. If Keates left would not be difficult to ditch Harris (Tranmere back ?),Anthony supposedly short term deal and Rutherford can be loaned to Conference North.Ponticelli might also benefit from a loan to rebuild his confidence.

Personally i think a new manager and coaching set up coupled with three of four quality signings could get us a play off spot. Despite its faults there is some quality in our current line up but it needs proper management and coaching to get the best out of it, obvious to say but that isn't happening.

However with the take over not going through till mid January at the earliest and the constant rumor that the board is holding out to stop Keates being sacked straight away says to me there isn't the time this season to get the necessary changes done.

Im coming to the opinion mid table finish is our most likely prospect. However a messy take over that is protracted could result in serious instability and you could see us quickly slipping down the table.
