If you can't be optimistic about a £2m investment (some of that will be for squad strengthening) you really need to cheer up LLB

If Ruthers is given a contract in the summer I'll be as miserable as you, believe me. lol

I think it is reasonable to suggest that with a few changes we can still be in the play offs and gain promotion this season LLB.

Knowing the history of Wrexham, we’re not going to scrape into 7th then go up via the playoffs. That would be the most un-Wrexham thing ever.

I’m buzzing for the takeover, but I’ve written off this season as any sort of challenge. Like I said, would be brilliant to be proven wrong.

Not to mention the changes which are required for club ethos, ambition and infrastructure.

Even if we did get the management and coaching we need it's not going to take a few weeks for them to turn this ship around.

I'm as excited about this takeover as much as you are, but this club's a shell. This season is about giving some pride back to the fans, something to enjoy and shout about, something to look forward to. The foundations we need for success are gone, they need to be rebuilt so our success can really begin next season.

Completely agree with your points and it's scary to see how this club has been run into the ground.

However, we don't need all of the above in place to get a play off berth in this very poor league. We'll probably do it with a new manager, midfielder & striker

One step at a time but we've got a very long way to go to recreate the halcyon days of the late 70's which is what R&R have stated they want to strive towards assisted by PM

Having Reynolds and McElhenney own the club isn’t very Wrexham either.

How would we react if one of our rivals who are on the fringes of the playoffs signed 4 or 5 good players? You’d expect them to at least compete for a top 7 spot.

Well, let’s see if we actually manage to sign 4 or 5 good players. Like I said, happy to be proved wrong on all this but can’t see a promotion via the playoffs this season. Sorry!

We don’t know if the takeover will even be complete by the end of the transfer window. We don’t even know who will be the manager. I like the positively on show, but I need to see a bit more before I start dreaming of watching a stream of us winning at Wembley.
