And also:

David Jones was two years above me in school. In about Yr4, Pogs were THE craze, I had managed to build up a fair collection from Arfon Griffiths newsagents. David Jones didn’t have any Pogs (too busy getting good at football probably) and I lent him some Pogs so we could have a game. The general idea is that you smash a heavier Pog at a pile of normal Pogs and you ‘win’ any that flip over. The bastard won some of my Pogs, scooped them up and walked off. He’s not welcome at Wrexham AFC and will never be accepted by me for this reason.

That sounds painful for Paul and Mathias...

(I do actually know what Pogs are, was a big fan too, though never lost any to future professional footballs as far as I’m aware)
