A few 'covidiot' RP posters seem to be living in their own little bubble! Time to get real about Covid-19! The powers that be now need to have a serious discussion about whether sport should currently take place at all. Stop unnecessary travel, not only in this country but moreover worldwide! Unfortunately, 'the big bucks' remain the prime motivator!

That post was on the 5th and referred to yesterday so reflected info on the 4th.

On the afternoon of the 4th the health board tweeted https://twitter.com/BetsiCadwaladr/s...21726950842369

"Our Emergency Department at Wrexham Maelor Hospital is extremely busy at present. These departments have to prioritise the most seriously injured patients who need urgent care"

For that evening I was told by someone I trust that the 'majors' route in was switched effectively to deal with covid.

The '10 hours' may be specifically inaccurate, perhaps more or less, but there were certainly serious issues in the 'A&E' or emergency dept that day in Wrexham.

Thats what I was referring to, the 10 hours. Reason I know is because I know someone who was there waiting to be seen.

I was referred yesterday by my GP. Was sent to AMU, where I was seen by the consultant, had blood tests, an ECG and a chest x-ray in the space of 5 hours. I have to commend the NHS doctors and nurses, because despite being under immense pressure they take everything in their stride and show immense kindness. Sometimes I hope that those that deny covid's existence or refuse to take precautions get taken ill (more than likely at present) and would be refused treatment. It's not going to happen I know, and I know it sounds selfish, but that's how I feel. I work in a supermarket, and see regular flouting of restrictions by those that think it doesn't effect them, and it really pisses me off (rant over)

Back at the end of October my mum was stuck in an ambulance in the car park for 9 hours following a suspected stroke - so not much difference to then. That said, there was a CV 'spike' then too.
Fortunately it turned out that she hadn't had a stroke after all and was sent home a few days later. She said it was chaos (understandably) and they were run off their feet - and this was before this new strain.

I fully expect this season won't finish and we'll go to PPG again at some point.

Dover for example have only played 10 games with another 30 odd to go - never gonna get them all played.
