For that evening I was told by someone I trust that the 'majors' route in was switched effectively to deal with covid.

The '10 hours' may be specifically inaccurate, perhaps more or less, but there were certainly serious issues in the 'A&E' or emergency dept that day in Wrexham.

I do agree with you, the only circumstances we could justify getting players in would be if an exceptional player wanted to move to us on an 18 month or a 2.5 year deal and doing it now secured his signature. The R&R cash in that scenario could steal us a march on our rivals for next season.

There is increasing reason to think this is the way forward. I can't see much transfer activity with the players in the National League happening while we have Covid so bad. Perhaps from now on we should only be looking at average points and forget planning to get into play offs. No way is this team going to get up this year on whatever basis applies. Just not good enough. But good enough to avoid the bottom three.

I don't even think we should go to PPG. It would be cruel to relegate any team in this chaos. Play games where possible to keep players fit but this season is already becoming a travesty.

I'd halt the season now until early March and restart (end of lockdown permitting).

Extend the season until the end of June, move the play off final to Villa Park.

Start next season first week in September so they get a decent break.
