Re: Match Off Saturday
Realistically there's got to be serious doubt as to whether or not this season finishes.
Eastleigh players isolating for 10 day, so assume our game with them on Tuesday is off. That's already two games we'll need to reschedule. Part of me thinks with the hospitals as full as they are should football be playing. An ambulance and two paramedics had to take Lainton to hospital at Bromley, God forbid that happened again, would we feel OK putting that sort of unnecessary strain on the NHS at the moment? |
Re: Match Off Saturday
That'll be at least 3 weeks without a competitive fixture then

Re: Match Off Saturday
Is anyone to blame? The club, the individual players, the league? Or is it just one of these things?
If you're being cynical I'd say players across all leagues are doing enough. Look at some of the high profile players having Xmas/Nye parties |

I still think the club could and should do more (or at least something!) to promote local public health messaging. |

The transmission rate in Wrexham is terrifyingly high at the moment, but I don't get the sense it's getting the coverage Merthyr for example had a few weeks ago when it was the highest rate in the UK. Football club has thousands of followers on social media, they should use that platform for highlight the seriousness of the current situation. |
Re: Match Off Saturday
Obviously health comes first but not a bad thing from a pure football perspective as gives us more time to bring in better players
