If by some long shot it is Mark Hughes it would be beyond our wildest dreams just a few months ago.

One of Europe's best strikers who managed his country and also at the top level in the Premier League. He's got contacts coming out of his ears

Mark Hughes or Danny Cowley ? Come on fellas, are we really discussing this
Agreed.

Getting all stary-eyed over a name is no substitute for recent managerial success.

Very hypothetical but appointing a Hughes-type would elevate the playing side of the club. I doubt players will take the piss as they have for years under the succession of managers.

I would doubt Hughes has the requisite knowledge of players at this level, a bit like Saunders so would end up signing Premier League academy players and journeymen!

We are more likely to end up with Saunders with the Liverpool connection.

The choice between an average at best Premier League manager and a very good Lower League manager, I'll be honest, i'd go for the latter in our current situation. Not that i'd be fuming with a Mark Hughes appointment. However, we are in a different world to what Mark Hughes is use to.

Mark Hughes wouldn't drop down to this level, I listened to the interview and it was almost like Radio Wales was whoring him out for the Cardiff Job if Harris gets the boot.

Not that I think for a second we will get Hughes or that I am fully behind this but it is easily remedied by hiring an assistant and some coaching staff/scouts that know the league.

I do heartily agree having a manager with his calibre might actually cut out some of the ego's that have landed here previously, thinking they're billy big nuts because they've played 3 games at league 1 and Championship level.

Massive, massive knowledge of the local area.

In fact, no-one knows the local area better.

It wouldn't even be possible to know the local area better.

If Mark Hughes wants to job then we'd be hard pressed not to want him. I think Cowleys and Hughes are too much of a push atm

I do think we should get real, how much money do you think the cowleys would cost.We might have 2 million pounds and many more millions will be generated but these guys have not taken over our club to throw money away.Who ever is the new manager(keates should have never been allowed back)how much money do you think our manager will be on.And why would the Cowleys who will be hoping for a championship club come to Wrexham in the national league, but saying that it is only 3 weeks ago we had posters stating that Eddie Howe and Big Sam would take the job because they did not need the money haha
