Default Will the Season continue?

Looks like clubs have been sold a false promise with regards funding and talk of some putting players on furlough which would surely put the season in jeopardy?

I hope it doesn’t. Been such a damp Squibb. Draw a line under it and let’s start again, the second Saturday in August.

This really could lead to clubs saying we can't continue and furlough players.

If clubs are only able to loan money to get through the season, it could possibly put them in serious trouble next season and beyond. What a farce.

I get it but tbf the Trust cut our budget to what we could likely afford. These clubs who are kicking off and get sub 1000 gates probably haven't cut their cloth accordingly

I don't see the problem if the loans are made to the national league. They could still give grants to the club as long as the national league can afford to service the loans.

If the clubs are offered the loans, well I don't see how they will be able to service the debt and afford to be competitive on the pitch

Looking like 3rd week in October. Three weeks after the vaccine hand out has been completed.

It looks to me the DCMS want the season to stop and put players on furlough, thus their department hasn't got to shell out whilst another government department has no choice.

If the loans are to the league, and its an individual team choice whether to take them or furlough presumably could end up with a number of clubs suspended?

Just sack it off while it’s still relatively early doors. No promotion or relegation. Bit harsh on Torquay but still a long way to go anyway.

Then it will be even more of a farce than it already is. This season is doomed I think we all know it really.

If it's a case of safety then I 100% agree it should be cancelled. If it's just that clubs can't afford contracts they've signed up to then no. Should be forced to play the kids. I guess they won't return 50% of their sponsorship income if it's postponed
