There's an element of scaremongering to this thread unfortunately.

I wouldn't worry.

Not even the WST would be daft enough to scupper the deal now and I'm not sure they could even if they wanted to.

I thought that once contracts have been exchanged in any business deal, both parties become legally bound to complete the purchase.

If that understanding is correct, then the WST will have to find a solution to this if it really is an issue.

Normally where there is a change to an agreement that relates to constitution or governance then you need to give the FCA notice of the event as soon as you become aware of it. That doesn't necessarily follow that the FCA will register the change at that point.

Well in the property world exchange of contracts is legally binding. You can't go back and change your mind.Seems like a tying up of a loose end.

R&R must be secretly fuming it's being held up by something that should have been sorted out many weeks ago and to the detriment of the club as usual as the transfer window wont stay open just for us and we could miss transfer targets
