Keates mentioned in his last interview that he had missed out on one or two that couldn't wait any longer for the deal to go through. Could Rowe have been one of these players as he has just signed for Bradford? Definatly the type of player I'd like to see us sign.

Would any quality player take Keates seriously?
Keates spent a LOT last January and look where we ended up.

Not the only one that got away. Fortunately for Rowe he was not amongst one of the many promising signing Keates did make. Sadly, under our current coaching, all Keates signings have not fulfilled their potential. Nothing convinces me that, under current management, Rowe would have made the slightest bit of difference.
Conversely, i do feel that we have the foundation of a decent squad and, under a decent coach, and then with the addition of a couple or players of Rowe's experience and ability, we would be serious contenders to win this league.

Could Rowe play as a target man and not have a player within 25 yards of him,would he really want to chase a ball just bumped over the top.It did not take long for Grant,hooper and many more players to get pissed off with Darlingtons tactics.

Rowe scored 5 million goals a season when he was down here. Even Keates couldn't have stopped him.

Keates can say what he likes in an interview , no one can know the truth can they , he's hardly likely to say he wants 3 players that haven't played all season and just sit on the bench . He's clinging on to his job and will say anything , I very doubt there are any quality players on his imaginary list .

We attract journeymen and loan young kids from higher up who are rarely good enough. Its been going on for years. Danny Rowe would never come here when league 1 and 2 clubs want him
