Made my debut on the terraces the same day as Ray and the Southend brigade made their Wrexham debuts. Oh happy days, and yes, that game at Liverpool summed it up. Makes me want to cry watching that game today. RIP Ray and thank you.

Ray is one of the reasons I still follow Wrexham after living for 50 years in Australia.
I was at Anfield that day (we played in sky blue). When Ray scored my uncle threw me in the air and I was caught by someone a few metres away.
RIP Ray ....great goal!

Yes great to hear the memories of Rays great header at Anfield. I was on the kop with my Liverpool supporting friends when Rays header flew in ,I jumped in the air and shouted fecking yes and as I landed felt a deathly silence around me when an old docker patted me on the shoulder and said fecking good goal son
