My first away match was at Stoke in 2002, where I met Smith and all the players. |

Re: When did you start attending matches regular?
My dad took me to my first game at Wrexham when I was six in 1962. I took him in his wheelchair to his last game three seasons ago. He passed aged 90, but thanks to him I've got brilliant memories of being at The Racecourse, watching good and bad football, making good friends. It's what it's all about, belonging.

Re: When did you start attending matches regular?
Easter Saturday, 1951. (In the days when matches were scheduled for Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Monday - on meagre wages!)
Dad took me at 1.30 pm for the 3.15 ko, so that I could stand at the fence just behind and to the left of the Kop goal. Billy Tunnicliffe scored. Crowd of 10,000. Roller-coaster for 70 years. |
