It was the last game.of the season against Northampton (think it was 86/87?). I have a feeling we lost and Northampton were promoted...could be totally wrong. I was hooked and persuaded my dad to take me to every game for a long while after that..
Was still a regular up until the end of Mills stint..then picked and chose as the football was not a main priority.
But still listened on the radio.

1965 v Fulham in the league cup. The days of Albert Kinsey, Keith Webber and Steve Stacey. My neighbour, Nev Dykins, used to take me in his brown Morris Minor, we’d pick up 4 other blokes in Gas Lane, Mold and chug along to the ground.
Does anyone remember the sand pits either side of the goals, could never understand why they were there?

Like a lot of others my Dad used to bring me as a small kid, first season was 68/69

The only early games I remember well are Port Vale and a game against Aston Villa (on and off the pitch).

I was one of five so it was great spending time with my Dad, just the two of us watching our local team. Glad I have those memories.

Started going regularly and went about 18 years without missing a home between 1975 and 1983 before paying the mortgage meant working some Saturdays.

I’m still only in my mid 20’s so unfortunately have missed out on the good times, saying that my first regular season was 02-03 promotion season. Some ace memories but being that young and new to it had no idea that was as good as it would get.

First game Reading at home March 2001.

Lost 3-1 to champions Northampton on last game of that season. Earlier in the season we were the first team to get anything at their place - a 2-2 draw with us leading twice. Following that, they only drew one other game at home and lost one as well

My first match was 1957 aged 6 years i was in the Boys pen the Tech end. I have no idea who we played but we won, and i was frozen, happy days.
