We all know this isn't a great team, and tactically we are very one dimensional, and we've got a few key players out (and the squad looks thin in places) so that is a fine win. It seems like we've actually largely played pretty well for two games in a row. Players realising that they are playing for their place in the project maybe?

This isn't me advocating for Keates, he's out at some point im sure. But it shows that even as we are, if the season continues we can beat anyone else in this league, may as well go for it.
We seem to be on a nice little run of form just now. Especially considering Pearson, Lainton, Vassell are injured. Midfield and up top remain wafer thin, and no backups exist. Doesn't feel like a promotion squad, but confidence and optimism can go a long way!

Or it can quickly go the other way, but touch wood, we seem to be getting to grips of the 352 system for a few weeks now and starting to find some consistency, even with key players out. Saturday will be a far greater test and it will be interesting to see if we can still get our wing backs high up the pitch or whether they force them back.

Just looking at Notts' results - they've only conceded 3 goals in the league since the 21st of November (10 games) the most recent of which was a consolation goal for Dagenham this Tuesday night when they were 3-0 up and down to 10 men. That is pretty impressive fair play.

I watched them a few times early season and they looked excellent with Callum Roberts looking very much different class.

They have only scored 11 in those 10 matches so not high scoring team. There best attacking player Robert's is out for a few weeks. So could be tight game Saturday

Fair point. Could be a tight one as you say.

Tempted to take a point in this but maybe I'm being too conservative, a win would be a statement following the Alty result...

Down to ten men and with an outfield player in goal...

They are set up to defend i think. So they sound like a better version of us.
