Time to move on and put all that behind us.
He's entitled to his view, that doesn't mean we have to like it and that he can't be branded as a fool, which he quite clearly is.

There are a good number of supporters who have only ever seen Wrexham play in non-league with us having been here for a few years more than a decade, with the main things to cheer about coming from us being victorious in the Tinpot trophy (something which can be cancelled out by our loss to North Ferriby) and us taking the lead away at Stoke. The only Wales matches we have had up here in their lifetime being pointless friendlies against sides outside of the world's top 50 and the only cup upset they would have witnessed would be the away win at League One Brentford. There are a good number of fans who can't be much older than 16, making the 6 hour journey to the likes of Dover and Torquay on a regular basis who were still in a pram the last time we were promoted.

I don't doubt that there is a chance that this is a windup, but at the same time I understand there must be a section of the fanbase who think exactly like this. You may have witnessed the glory days of Wrexham AFC and are happy to see out your days watching Wrexham battle with pub teams such as Hayes & Yeading and Boreham Wood, but most of the fanbase are itching to see Wrexham reach the heights we reached in the late 1970s and to denounce them as non-supporters is quite frankly insulting.
Baby boomer generation right there. Blx to the future, as long as we have what we want.

i think that letter may have originated in somewhere across the border, or it is someone who is extremely politically possessed, , if it is genuine then, each to their own, however i am a grandad though i prefer Taid, and i will be purchasing a season ticket this coming close season for the first time in at least a decade but i am also purchasing season tickets for my grandchildren who are looking forward to experiencing the same success at the Racecourse as i did forty years ago, memories will be made over the coming years, families will bond and be closer, who could deny young and old this opportunity

For the avoidance of doubt I am also a grandad and have seen most ot the good times and all the bad and I think Grandad47 is a complete tool. We have to look forward now and rebuild the football side along with the community. The Wrexham spirit, forged in Brymbo Steel, fueled by Gresford coal and slaked by Wrexham Lager will never die!

Someone should tell grandad47 that there is a commitment to the community work the club does.

I would think this argument would have some weight if either the club was successful in this league or in the FL.

Last season we just stayed up in the Conference. We've blown a ton of the Danny Ward money and have no plan to go forward. The trust board (or at least the ones in high positions) were so out of touch with the fans that the fanbase was divided like never before.

Add Covid into the mix and there was a real possibility that we would stand still or regress for many years.

Let's say worse case scenario hits. Deadpool 3 tanks and Sunny is cancelled and they want to pull out. We're basically in the same position we are now, the club needs to be run without occuring any debts. If the club folded for some obscure reason then we'd start a phoenix club and work ourselves back up. Probably take 5 years or so. I don't think we were ever going up under the Trust.

This Grandad47 is looking at the absolute worse case scenario and using it to justify us not attempting to achieve
