I think 433 is the 'best' formation, but the key to it is having 2 superstars in the wide forward positions. And a good target man. Basically a great front 3.

As others have said, 532 suits the current batch.

442 cannot work at this level because most teams play 433 (or a variant of) which means we get overran in CM. Fine if you have two of the best CM's in the league, but not fine otherwise.

Nothing to do with the new owners that decision is down to the new manager and coaches. If Keates stays expect little change.

Keates will be here until the end of the season. I think we'll have good and bad patches and ultimately finish 6th.

It'll be nice to have a manager who isn't so rigid in using the same formation repeatedly, when it's clearly not working.

Is that a dig at Keates? Hasn't he tried a few formations?

And 5 at the back has had some degree of success.

People slate Keates and I agree the football is crap and he probably should go but...

He's took us from bottom 4 to in the hunt for the playoffs. I'm not saying he's been massively successful but you'd swear we were struggling again this season

A keates 433 is very different to a 98 point season 433

That 98 point team was fearless and had a strong mentality. Anything with Keates as a manager doesn't have that
