I would have to check but I imagine the likes of Salford, Fleetwood and Forest Green brought in Quigley type signings as well as their marquee signings.

Are clubs permitted to sign any players at this point? Free transfers, emergency loans etc?

Is that so bad if players can agree to terminate their contracts?

Like many, I feel our squad is pretty weak particularly through the spine. If we could get hold of a couple of quality midfielders and another striker, we could push Torquay and Notts C. Or maybe give ourselves a better chance for the playoffs.

Can we sign players from Welsh clubs on loan?

I would have thought plenty of teams in the leagues above have unwanted players with contacts expiring at the end of the season. Assuming they don’t furlough them, I am sure there are some that could come to agreement about a release.

They had to be free agents in the January transfer window, to be free agents now

Theyd have to have been free agents during the transfer window. If they terminate their contracts now we still can't sign them.

I'm sure I read somewhere that we can't skgn anyone from the WPL (even loans). But I can't recall why that is.

Thing is Quigley has scored 26 goals for Barrow in 51 appearances -that is a marquee signing at this level.Humphrey stated in the Leader that next season the budget will be higher but not substantially higher than this season. Also added will not be taking the Salford/Fleetwood/FGR spend spend spend approach
On that basis we are not going to get much better than Quigley.Agree Harris is finished and can do better than Young.

Quigley seems to have recovered fully from his thigh problem, and he scores goals.

Should be an option for next season.
