This. i turned on for about the last 20 minutes or so and a few minutes after the game. Felt like i was listening to a prime mourinho v simeone defensive masterclass. We can be proud of some of the football we played first half. I heard that after reading comment after comment about the first half being one of the worst people had seen.

I’ve listened to a few on Mixlr where he makes it sound like a tennis match where the match is back and forth.

To be fair Hartlepool were a tidy side. We are a pub side.

Exactly a good point tonight and not forgetting we won at their place.

We are play offs at best and we need 3 decent players aswell as our injured goalkeeper and defenders fighting fit. Dibble in goal, Carrington playing CH a patched up team. We’ve just got to hang in there but we can’t have any excuses on Saturday against part timers Wealdstone.

I just can't enjoy anything or look forward until he's gone.

One day the club will gain some self-respect.

Keates will not be manager at this time.

Mark Griffiths answered a few questions tonight on the Q and A after the game, which to be fair explains a lot. Mark was very happy with the point and he could see why Keates set up defensively tonight after scouting the mighty pool. We got a point at home against a playoff team which we should be very happy about. He also answered the question of "would you have been happy to pay a tenner to watch that performance" his answer was yes, he doesnt watch Wrexham to be entertained, he watches us to support us and it sounded like he gets pleasantly suprised when we do entertain. He also kept saying how he followed us since the 70s. Now in that time, which is longer than me, as I was born in 83, but in that time, how many times has he seen a attacking team, a team full of heart, determination and pride, how many teams has he watched that play football the proper way?
In my time I've seen players like Connolly, Bennett, Owen, Brammer, Ward and Hughes. I feel lucky I grew up watching that team, they showed passion and we all got behind them, they were a joy to watch. What do we watch now? There are fans that only know Wrexham as a non league team, and people like Mark Griffiths, who is happy with paying to watch rubbish, shows that he has now become accustom to Keates ball, and has accepted that way of playing. In my eyes it's not the Wrexham way, and it's not entertainment. We need to change the management and bring our identity back, play the ball on the ground and through midfield, we need to go out and play the Wrexham way.

Lucy is consistently brilliant in both questions and analysis. Doesn't f*ck about.

I heard that too. People are absolutely fed up of the shite served up week in week out, so entertainment value does matter eventually. I don't go to the game expecting amazing football, but Keates' anti football style of play is completely unacceptable.
