This is telling others we have a bonus scheme, we are aiming for something with a bonus scheme in place other than spouting a load of political crap week on week, the players do not care about anything other than the job and earnings the same as most of us I suppose.

We’ve been ran like a charity it didn’t work, this season is over I think that’s evident this team isn’t capable of a play off win it’s much worse than the 98 point season team. It’s a statement to others nothing more that bonuses are in place, many teams might not have them and during the fallout of the pandemic those players who have families will want stability and an extra income source here’s the chance.

Yes, I found that interesting. Brokered with Pearson and not Keates. I think that bodes well. I believe it'll take promotion for Keates to keep his job.

Although Keates has just changed his Twitter bio to: "£50 is better than nothing"

From what I've read previously I think it's fairly commonplace for the club captain to take the lead role in these sorts of conversations, bonuses, fines that sort of thing.

No contract negotiations till the end of the season is a pretty clear message aswell. Do well enough for another deal or let the clear out begin.
