Just put in the season ticket thread. The end of the year!

I absolutely detest him.

I wouldnt worry, there is a Senedd election in May, it looks unlikely he will have a majority government so the timescales could well change

If you want change to the status quo then vote for change to the status quo

He’d have us shutdown forever if he had his way.

*Rough* quote from lunchtime:

"Thomas was just asking me whether I could see a pathway during this year to spectators returning to sports events of a sort that we saw over the weekend. And I was simply explaining that we will continue to approach that issue in the way that we did last year, there will be pilots, there will be experiments that will happen in other parts of the United Kingdom we will be learning the lessons of those, we were able to carry out some modest pilots here in Wales. And when conditions allow, we would want to do that as well."

"And if the pilots go well, and if that situation of the virus continues to improve, then I don't think it's beyond possibility at all, that by the end of this calendar year, we might see the return of our spectators to sporting venues all be it it will have to be in ways that take full account of the continuing risks that Coronavirus would pose"

It is worth noting another wave is 'baked in' according to some Welsh Gov advice, so would imagine the above is in that context.

Open stadiums with mitigation rather than bouncing into another lockdown and league suspensions etc.

It is worth looking further afield where some countries are verging on regular normality - packed stadiums and full on sport. They also have the odd 3-7 day snap lockdowns when one or a small handful of cases are discovered, and sort it out properly.

Auckland has locked down after a single unknown source community case. Wrexham had 11 reported today.

Was a poll yesterday that Lab will get 30 seats
With PC the 2nd party so even if Labour lose seats PC will form a govt with them

Whilst UK government has done more wrong than right, one thing i completely agree is you will never eradicate Covid and need to learn to live with it. Ardern in NZ gets many plaudits but her strategy is completely unworkable and if Wales are trying to follow that lead we will never have a season where fans can attend every home game for the rest of our history. Put politics aside its basic logic.
