We (very) briefly had the tie-up with Glyndwr about 6 years ago, but as far as I remember it's been a Centre of Excellence from the start.

Haven't the labels for youth 'academies' changed in the recent past? You are right though, I don't think it was ever an academy.

Looks like the EPPP changed it in 2012. There's a few different categories.

I'm sure if we started up our youth football again we'd be a Cat 4 academy and hope to work our way up? I'm sure there are much more qualified people to fill in the gaps here! Bagger Vance?

I think reporters interchange the term depending on the word count they need to hit.

We wouldn't even qualify for Cat 4 things have been run down that much. Hopefully, with whats been said that'll be sorted sooner rather than later.

Off the top of my head, someone is needed in a full time capacity for things like safe guarding.
