Default Ratings vs Sutton

Dibble 7 - took a kick to the head early on and made a decent save right at the end

French 7 - kept the defensive shape well and limited Sutton to the odd cross from his side
Kelleher 8 MOTM - kept the attackers at bay and could have had a goal with a bit more composure
Carrington 7 - ran Kelleher close and performed well

RHJ 5 - didn’t get forward as much as usual but was decent. As an attacking outlet was non- existent
Durrell 6 - was up against Eastwood and Beautyman and the fact that they didn’t do a great deal was down to him, Davies and Young.
Davies 6 - could have had a goal with a better strike
Young 6 - the yellow card against him was ridiculous. Did his job in nullifying their middle 3 but at the expense of an attacking ambition
Reckord 5 - no attacking outlet and 1 decent cross

Angus 5 - poor but starved of the ball especially in the 2nd half
Thomas 6- returned to the Bambi on ice performance but won headers all over the park. Shame no-one was anywhere near him.

Subs 0

Before the game, I would have taken the point but most BT watchers would have turned over as the offer was hugely disappointing.

They were scared of us after the 4-0 drubbing but we didn’t believe we could actually get a result. We re-treated nearer our goal line as the game wore on. If we believed we could win, Jarvis and Harris would have been on.

Referee 3 very poor - booked Young for an innocuous shoulder charge and let their guy off for kicking Dibble in the head when it should have been a yellow.

Default Re: Ratings vs Sutton

Dibble 6 looked ok and took a knock, spilled a couple but basically sound
RHJ 6 good to have him back. Needs to impose himself more but first game back
Reckord 5 defensively ok but especially second half retreated. Took a bad knock possibly broken nose
Kelleher 8 mom - head and shoulders our best CH and a good signing . Why oh why did he not head that fantastic cross ?
Carrington 7 - captains performance. Does the basics very well and a better passer of the ball than any of our CH’s I have lots of time for this man.
French 7 really like this lad and he brings confidence with him
Durrell 6.5 one of his better games for us. Defensively no nonsense which has changed in him. Tired second half but glad he lasted 90.
Davies 4 flatters to deceive
Young 5 stupid booking held him back a bit but worked tirelessly as ever
Angus 5 showed glimpses but well marked
Thomas 5.5 fought hard and won a lot.
Subs - big negative for DK his failure to freshen us told Sutton that we had settled for a point. Long trip on Tuesday for our 15th away game so why not rest and also give game time to fringe players ?
Ref 15 too young to ref a grown ups game

Durrell a 6 and Davies a 4.5? Amazing how some people see the game differently.

And worrying. I know I'm biased, but I thought Durrell was poor, again.

Impossible to rate the front two given the shocking levels of service they receive.

On the other hand, must be a joy to be a centre back in this team.

RHJ 6
French 7
kelleher 8
Carrington 7
Reckord 6

Young 5
Davies 2
Durrell 2 - contributed nothing but lauded because “he worked his socks off”. Give me Ruthers any day rather than a player who works his socks off when there is £200 at stake

Dibble 6 - untested, save at the end was straight at him. Kicking was decent, but never convinced when he comes to punch or collect the ball.

Kelleher-8 rock solid, great challenge on the end of the box when tracking back from a corner.
Carrington 7 - no drama, solid as always.
French 6 - I am not convinced by him.

Midfield and wingbacks 4 - none of them got a foothold in the game. Working hard doesn't constitute playing well.

Thomas 4 - won headers but woeful with the ball at his feet.
Angus 5 - the only one to cause them any issues with his pace but some poor control at times.
