Maybe... But during the Coleman era we paid a pittance in the managerial role, so no idea whether or not Ford would be on a massive (like a globally traded company CEO role) salary. Difficult to say what our budget is... 100k a year maybe? 200k? Sounds extreme but a CEO should be able to take every penny of their wage and be able to say how for every pound they are paid they will transform that into an x10 or x20 income.

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Ford coming here if as you say we could afford it. He has appointed 3 really decent managers to the men's team (fine, Coleman not technically great but his man management skills went a great distance in picking up a squad devastated by speeds death so could argue this was an equally astute appointment)

Contacts, facilities, international standard stadium aspirations etc it all makes sense. Worked at coca cola so good chance he would be networked with Peter Moore.

Back to salary... I think the new owners have to surround themselves with top professionals rather than being led only by what they can afford. Imagine these 2 high profile characters appointing some chancer into some pivotal role. The detrimental impact on the project would be devastating imo. They know they need to pay the toll troll if they want to get into this boys hole essentially

Been doing some intelligence gathering (googling) about salaries. Can't find anything about FAW but you'd imagine it would be in the middle of this list:

£70k - CEO of Surrey FA
£80K - average salary for CEO in the UK (all sectors)
£180k - CEO of FA of Ireland
£190k - FIFA vice-president
£350k - Welsh Rugby Union chief executive
£700k - FA CEO (in 2017)

Based on that anywhere between £60-100k? Depending on experience etc

Close to the £100k mark I'd say. I think it will be more based on where we want to be in 5-10 years rather than where we are now.

They will spend money on these kind of infrastructure appointments rather than on a £5 grand a week striker who could be hit or miss

Remember you pay for the role and not just the person... We would be asking him to do a lot less for his money. Wrexham is not going to be as big of a role as running a whole FA... chances are he might be anticipating a pay cut given the abrupt nature in which his role has ended at the FAW
