Whether they are expelled or fined or whatever is a seperate matter that maybe can wait, but that also needs resolving to ensure the points issue is resolved before the end of the season...... maybe not so simples afterall !

Re: Dover
Agree the League need to make decision asap. They should have done so weeks ago.
As I understand it, the League have so far only charged Dover with not fulfilling the first couple of their missed fixtures dating back to the beginning of February. I imagine there needs to be a League hearing so Dover can answer the charges. Dover will no doubt cite the pandemic as the justifiable cause, and that they have no money to fulfill these fixtures because of the switch from grants to loans, which I believe the League endorsed. I think the only two practical options are to either expunge Dover's results or award wins to the opposing teams for any unfulfilled fixtures. If they go with awarding wins then it raises the question of the scores, say either 2-0 or 3-0. The trouble is any decision would set a precedent, and may cause other clubs to do the same. Which is probably why the League have delayed doing anything. They're probably thinking 'keep kicking the can down the road and get as many remaining fixtures played as possible'. But there'll come a point when they will have to make a decision. And knowing our luck, it'll be after the last round fixtures and they'll choose whichever option means we miss out on a play off place. I reckon the matter of fines and/or expulsion is a separate issue, and I think either would be harsh given the exceptional circumstances. COYR!!! In R&R we trust.

Re: Dover
Catering for situations like this should be enshrined in the competitions terms and conditions, as should dealing with seasons that cannot be completed. That way no-one gets to manipulate or vote on outcomes biased by their own circumstances and in their own interests.
