A massive month coming up

Starting this Saturday practically every team we will play in the next month are all in the play off zone.
27/3/21 Bromley (h) 7th
2/4/21 Notts County (a) 6th
5/4/21 Torquay (h) 3rd
10/4/21 Stockport (h) 4th
13/4/21 Halifax (a) 8th
17/4/21 Woking (a) 17th
24/4/21 Chesterfield (h) 10th

With the exception of Woking (who we never beat away) all the other teams are serious promotion contenders.
Keates now needs to get away from his ‘one goal suits us’ mindset and start looking at playing ‘horses for courses’ and be mindful of the squads injury situation and the card count which will be all important.

I predict a bright start to these fixtures before we pick up injuries and cards and slide down the table

We really need off Notts County 4 points minimum. probably a good time to play them as they are having a bit of a wobble at the moment.

Problem is the teams at the top aren't really dropping points at the moment.

It's in our hands. Either we're up to the job and we'll do well in these games, or we'll fall short and need to prepare for next season.

If Keates does well in April, he's here next season I'm sure, and I hate to admit it - but - he'll have earned it.

It’s going to be a bit of a battle to stay in the POs, let alone win promotion. But we are in a good position if we are good enough and Lady Luck stays faithful. FWIW, I think we need to improve further if we are to be competitive.

I think we've given ourselves too much to do to get 2nd or 3rd which means we would need to win at least 1 game away from home in the Play off's then another on a neutral ground (The Final)

The way we approach games means the odds will be massively stacked against us in one leg sudden death football. I just can't see it ending well

If we get this opportunity we must hope Keates is bold enough to change his MO.

Before that we must win our home games and try not to lose the away ones. It’s a big ask, but that’s what’s needed.
