no body is saying he is the new messiah, your continual sniping at him says more about you than DK. DK's win percentage include the two relegation bound teams he inherited with the job, he turned them both around. Win bonuses means nothing unless there is a team spirit which was evident when the squad all jumping in to help DK on the touch line. Nutrition was something DK introduced wthen he took over the first time getting the squad eating together, there was a "nutritionist" with them on the first Portugal trip. There has been a fitness coach here for years and please tell what the amazing transformation is in the working environment, they train in the same place with the same people with out the use of facilities and gyms due to covid. Oh a coffee machine rather than a kettle!!! The pressure of TV doesn't turn players into messiah it more often than not has the opposite effect in a work environment as people don't want to look a tit in front of the camera. Is Darlo back from his compassionate leave?
Maybe, finally the new players have gelled and thats why we are were we are, maybe players who buy-in to what DK wants get a game.
A lot of contributors on here didn't want him back, I was a sceptic, still am but with out knowing who else went for the job just maybe he was the best candidate at the time.
I have some respect for DK, even with the constant bashing he has received in the press and every social media platform since signing he has a team in the playoff places and playing reasonably well... long may that continue.

I think the recent inprovements are likely to be a combination of factors. The increased financial support and bonus payments are obviously having a huge effect but I also believe that Keates is playing more attacking tactics and the new signings from January are starting to click. There also seems to be a good work ethic and team spirit. I didn't want Keates back but I'm not churlish enough to deny him the plaudits when we are much improved recently.

So in both terms we have played dire football, saved from relegation by the pandemic and in addition he got Walsall relegated? Clearly not his fault then.

Too long to argue all the points, but I’m entitled to my opinion and it’s both sound and grounded. He only got the job because Spencer is his mate. We all know that.

Not sure of all the Walsall ins and outs, but Walsall were struggling in L1 when he went in and now are a lower L2 club so a few managers have struggled to turn them round.

Keates won't be manager next year. He is at his level, The owners will do do the same to to him as Man City did to Mark Hughes, got rid because they wanted a man with proven success, this will hopefully be the case next season.

Just seen the highlights.

Two excellent goals from Angus, and pleased Davies got his goal. Shame his shot was just on the rise.

Bit of a mixed bag despite the conclusive score line. Definitely a penalty against Harris, and the defenders boot certainly hit Angus in the face. It was difficult to spot in real-time but obvious in slow-mo. Was it deliberate? I suspect so, but difficult to prove.

Great result and we should be full of confidence against Notts County and Torquay Utd. If we win both we will be in a very strong position.

Two bonuses for me recently. The last quarter we regularly used to sit deep and let the opposition come back at us. Now we seem stronger in the last quarter and have started knocking the ball around (to our own players!)
Davies is an interesting lad. On a few occasions his efforts lacked end product. I'm not sure if he at present is overdoing things a bit, or the rest of the lads dont move enough to give him a getout.
