Default Dan Jarvis

Hi all whats everyones take on the DJarvis situation?seems keates thinks Durrell is a better player and always gets off the bench before Jarvis,i think he has talent in abundance but cant figure out why he doesnt get a game even from the bench, does he not work hard in training or something, what does every think????

Personally I think Jarvis is best coming off the bench for the final 30 ahead of Durrell, but yesterday's match was a bit of a revelation for Jordan Davies, it's Davies who should play that role from the off...

Like you though I think Jarvis' pace and direct play is better than Durrell's second rate Lee Fowler act, particularly if we need attacking impetus in the final 30..

I think we are in a lucky situation to have 2 talented and creative players in Davies and Jarvis . I agree Davies is the best man for the job at the moment but Jarvis would be a good replacement if needed and a far better replacement then Durrell . Personally I think Durrell has played his part when called on and no disrespect to him but I feel Jarvis is a better all round footballer .

Keates holds a lasting grudge against Jarvis cos he once showed he was pi$$ed off at being taken off the field.

DK is not fit to be a football manager -- maybe he'd be ok as a warder in a prison.

I think jarvis is the best footballer out of the 3 in my opinion although not much between him and davies but i think davies and durrell work harder off the ball hence why keates picks them ahead of jarvis

It would be better if Davies and Jarvis both started, as they offer more than the others.

Have faith in the younger players and they will repay it with interest.

I think its a lot to ask a young player with not many senior appearances to his name to start and play 90 minutes too often. I also don't think a midfield with both Davies and Jarvis starting is sensible in this league...That said, I would like to see him feature more, he's a talented player and the more he plays the better he will get.

Clearly there was an issue Keates had with Jarvis over the summer as he alluded to it but it's poor management to continue punishing him which is clearly the case as the lad has more talent than most.

These are the things that really wind me up about Keates. He could do with sending himself on a people management course. He might actually learn that his 80's management style won't cut it in 2021

It's actually Keates responsibility to get the best out of Jarvis but he gives him a game then immediately drops him to the bench again which is singling him out as he doesn't do that with anyone else. Must be doing wonders for the lads confidence.

I think you need to look at yourself Dean

Agree. Keates' attitude to Jarvis is holding him and the club back. One of his failings.
