Not ready to declare keates a tactical genius because if he can lead the team to solid performances now, why couldn't he do that months ago. It doesn't really come down to resources because Angus aside the squad isn't that different...leadership and expectation have been muted for years now and I imagine new ownership has injected some self belief and desire. But... Long may it continue, and if keates can somehow deliver a result this year then more than happy to eat my words.
Perhaps the team has just gelled!! Takes a while,

Frenchie and Angus have both been excellent signings, contributing to our improved form. Just sayin!

I'm not convinced French gets into a fully fit starting xi
All depends on if kelleher and pearson can play together in a back 3

A few sarky comments about the money being the motivation but things were starting to gel before that. To be honest, I don't care what the motivation is, I really don't. As long as the performances and the results come in I shall be happy. Fans are loyal to the club but players are mostly loyal to their team mates or manager. The days of loyalty like Joey's are mostly gone for better or worse.

Not for me Clive.

Pearson or Kelleher with Vassell and French either side. Need a bit of pace in there.

The truth is probably a mix of everything people have stated on this thread.
Bonus scheme, No contract talks until season ends, Better nutrition (was discussed by Humph in one of his columns), Positive atmosphere, Training improvements, Keates focusing on the football side (less distractions), Playing lower placed teams, New players improving the first team, Up-turn in form in key players (dare I say Dibble!), Fitness, Team starting to gel.
The list could go on, what is for sure is that the next few weeks will be a challenge and we will have a far better idea of where we are likely to end up once they are all over. One this is for sure that not many teams will want to be playing us at the moment.
