Im not a Keates fan and don't want him here next season, but I don't think he is to blame for the January window. The delay in the takeover going through cost us, and we don't know how much money was provided to bring Angus and French in. Also don't think we would have gone on this good long run of results if Yusseff was still here playing and starting games as Kwame and Dior worked really well together.

If the takeover had gone through early January as predicted we would have signed more players 100%. Unfortunately it's just shit luck with injures.

Well the WST gave Keates a budget that would have likely saw the club go bust. So the WST can't be blamed for that, they gave Keates everything they had already.

And the takeover dragged on and on by the FCA and then R&R decided to donate a decent chunk of money anyway so they're not a fault either.

Whether other targets went elsewhere or not we still needed to bring in a striker, when Yussef left we needed 2, then he let Bickerstaff go as well. We at least needed bodies even if they're not the standard of Cook or Rowe (I don't think we could have got these anyway) and Keates failed to bring anyone at all in. The blame lies with Keates

i agree with you... even though non of us at all know how much the club was given and if given any restrictons ... or needed the nod from one of the guys who is assisting R&R..... ironic huh?

I think a lot of people have forgotten there was a vote to end the season that was made very late in the transfer window?
If the vote was to end the season it would have been money wasted.

Doesn’t suit the agenda on here though does it?

100% Keates fault he had time to bring in recruitment. He didn’t need to let Bickerstaff go for sure, Ponch has been injured all season & when played looked fully unfit. So that just left us with two strikers, the likely hood of one of them getting injured with the amount of games we had was high. Even after Yussuf left he said he’d spoken to a few strikers out of contract. He could have got one of them in early and by now theyd of been up and running. Now getting anyone in will be difficult as they’ll have no match sharpness for crucial period of the season. I get Yussuf wanted to leave, but keeping him wouldn’t of been the worst idea. Yeh he may of thrown a mood for a week, but with incentives that Rob & Ryan made available I’m sure as hell hed of pulled his weight then. Him & Angus would be a good combo too. There is plenty that Keates failed on this season, including being childish with Jarvis because you was annoyed about being subbed. A blind man can see Jarvis is 5x the player Durrell is. The cameo on Saturday showed it too. Untill Keates goes there’s no point getting excited about where we can go with the new owners. I’d love nothing more to see Keates take us up the leagues, he’s my favourite footballer of the non league era, but sadly he’s just a really poor manager.

If you think we're unlucky now, just imagine if we miss out on playoffs by the 3 points removed from Dover game. Losing out by turning up and winning a match when another team lost and benefits...

Agree with this. Keates can be criticised for plenty, I don't think the January transfer was his fault at all.

I don't think you will have to worry. We will either manage to get in the top seven or drop away completely.
With the injuries stacking up I am not confident it will be the former. I hope it is..
