Default Any Fans With Actual Real Football Knowledge

Do any of you have recent football experience at Pro or semi pro level?

I know enough about football to know I don’t know that much, I fear that some haven’t reached that level of knowledge as yet.

The reason I ask is there are a lot of opinions on here particularly about Keates, and in life it’s important to listen to people’s opinions, however, it’s choosing the right opinions to follow.

In my admittedly pretty unknowledgeable situation I don’t recognise some of the metaphors for how the team has been playing.

Can anyone assist? Your footy CV highlights would be useful in deciding to listen and learn from you.

Cheers

Short answer No.

Most fans are largely clueless (and I count myself in that) . Just because someone played local level football in the 1980s doesn't give them any special insight. We all, for the most part, are speaking with almost no insight into the full picture and with our own collections of preferences and bias.

Good luck in your search!

Its like being a teacher, everyone knows what you should do as they went to school.

Opinions on RP, my own included are very similar, as they are based upon the fact we played football when we were in our teens.

He plays anti-football which has never been the culture at this club, he’d rather secure a 0-0 draw at home than go and win it.

Hope this helps.

Wasn't aware that fans had to be current/former pros before having an opinion. Next time I have a crap meal at a restaurant I won't leave a negative review as I've never trained to become a Michelin star chef.

Better to form your own opinion rather than be influenced by those of others. Tune in to a live match stream and make your own mind up.

I post regularly on forums and I can tell you this is the worst thread I've ever seen on any of them. By some way as well.

Talk about cringe.

I watched a film once and thought it was boring. But then I remembered that I hadn't directed and produced a feature length film before and so now I just watch it on repeat whilst trying very hard to have no opinion of it whatsoever
