The big difference next season is we should be signing better quality players than we have had for many a year. I dont think we can use the excuse of not gelling next season

The ‘gel factor’ is a myth, if you sign 15 quality players you’ll win games simple as that. Many on here were saying 2 weeks ago we have eventually ‘gelled’ do they still think that? We need to sign quality hungry players rather than journeymen who are happy to pick their wage up.

I said right from the start they wouldn’t sack Keates. They are giving him enough rope to hang himself. The donation before the takeover for transfers, the promotion bonus, signing 3 players now. If we don’t go up they can say they backed him and are not sacking owners and it was just that his contract ran out. The new CEO starts in June and can bring in her own people and ‘we go again’ as Keates would say. I am happy to write off this season to get a fresh new approach next season.

This. When Saunders assembled his 98 point team, we started and continued on the front foot, only faltering on the run in.

A new manager has to be brought in straight away. They need time to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

A new manager at the end of the season won’t know how bad some of these players are.
